Introduction
Examining the Windows NT Event Log
To open the Windows NT Event Log, from the Task bar, select Start
Programs
Administrative Tools (Common)
Event Viewer. When the application launches, from the
Log menu, select System, since nearly all HP NetServer AA events are written to this log.
Use the Event Viewer’s menus to select various parameters that control how you will view
events.
•
From the Log menu, select the computer for which to view logs, to save logs, or to open
previously saved logs.
•
From the View menu, you can choose to view all events, or you can choose various filters.
You can also perform searches, select the order in which events are displayed, and view
details about events.
After selecting these log setting parameters, use the Event Viewer to examine HP NetServer AA
system events, just as you would view any other system events.
For detailed information about the Windows NT Event Viewer, refer to the Windows NT
documentation.
