MtcMon Messages
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEs are incompatible. The memory sizes do not match.
CE1 memory size = y kilobytes.
CE2 memory size = z kilobytes.

y – the size (in kilobytes) of memory in CE1
z – the size (in kilobytes) of memory in CE2
Severity
Error
Description
The amount of physical memory on the two CEs is different. CE synchronization is not
allowed.
Hardware/Software
This message is generated as a result of a CE hardware configuration error.
Action
•
Make the memory sizes and configurations of the two CEs identical.
•
Retry CE synchronization.
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx cannot be booted because IOPy cannot communicate with it.
Variables
x – the ID of the CE that cannot be booted
y – the ID of the IOP that cannot communicate with the specified CE
Severity
Error
Description
The specified CE cannot be booted into the system configuration because the specified IOP is
active and the CE is not in communication with it. In some cases, the IOP may be removed
from the configuration so that the CE operating system can be booted.

On the Remote IOP:
IOPn.MtcMon status: IOPx has been removed from service.
Hardware/Software
This message is generated in response to the failure of an Endurance System Interconnect,
usually due to a hardware malfunction.
Action
•
Using Endurance Manager on the specified IOP, verify that the IOP is not in
communication with the CE.
•
Examine the physical Interconnect to determine if it is properly connected, and repair it if
it is not.
•
In some cases, powering the CE off and then back on can resolve the problem.
•
If the condition continues, or if the cause of this message cannot be determined, contact
your service provider for assistance.
