MtcScsiP and MtcScsiR Messages
IOPn.MtcScsiP status: DISKn cannot be accessed for initialization, and it will be marked offline.
Variables
n – the disk number; for example, DISK0, DISK1, DISK2

Description
A disk cannot be accessed for initialization. Check the event log for prior related messages.
The problem should be corrected as indicated by these prior messages. The disk cannot be
brought online using the HP NetServer AA Manager without first correcting the problem and
rebooting the IOP.
Action
Review the event log, looking for previous entries to determine why the disk cannot be
initialized.

Description
There are a variety of reasons for the inability to physically access a disk. For example, it could
be misconfigured, it could be powered off, or it may have failed.
Action
Review the event log, looking for previous messages that describe the reason why the disk
cannot be accessed.
IOPn.MtcScsiP status: DISKn contains an invalid partition table. The disk must be repartitioned.

Description
A CE boot disk is used to allow Windows NT to be loaded and run on behalf of the CEs. If the
CE boot disk is not properly partitioned, then Windows NT will not boot. The disk specified
in the message was not partitioned properly.
Action
Repartition the disk. See
