IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx could not be synchronized because the Endurance System Management Service running on
the CE operating system is not yet active.

x – the ID of the CE that could not be synchronized

Description
This message is generated during an attempt to synchronize the Windows NT operating system
on the CE(s). CE synchronization cannot be performed until the Endurance System
Management Service is started on the CE operating system. A CE is ready for synchronization,
but the Endurance System Management Service is not active on the CE.
Hardware/Software
This message is generated as a result of a missing software component.
Action
•
Examine the services running on the CE operating system. In the Control Panel, double-
click on
Services
, and select and start the Endurance System Management Service.
•
Reinstall Endurance software on the CE.
IOPn.MtcMon status: CEx did not obtain the memory controller type. The presence of ECC or parity memory cannot
be determined.

x – the ID of the CE for which memory controller type information could not be obtained

Description
The CE software could not obtain the information related to the memory controller chipset and
type of memory in use in the CE. This information is logged on the IOP that controls the
booting and synchronizing of the CEs.
Hardware/Software
This message is generated as a result of CE hardware configuration information.
Action
•
No action is required. However, Marathon recommends that you configure your
Endurance server so that it has ECC or parity memory.
•
If you need help in determining whether you are using a qualified CE in your Endurance
server, contact your service provider.
