Performing internal loopback tests.
Severity
Informational
Description
Internal loopback tests will be performed.
Action
No action is required.
Platform initialization failed
Severity
Error
Description
The platform module provided by the startup IOP failed to identify or initialize the system.
This error is probably due to the wrong CE platform type being selected when the IOP software
was installed.
Action
Reinstall the IOP software on both IOPs, ensuring that the CE platform selected matches the
CEs being used.
Press <Enter> or Control-M for MIC setup. Press <Esc> to bypass initialization.
Severity
Informational
Description
Press <Enter> immediately after the BIOS displays the copyright and version information to
start the MIC Setup Utility. Use this utility to change the MIC identity and to run diagnostics.
You can also press <Esc> on the keyboard attached to the HP NetServer AA element to bypass
the normal initialization (and on CEs, the startup process). This may be useful when it is
necessary to boot off a local device or temporarily circumvent a compatibility problem while
a system is reconfigured.
Action
No action is required.
Reboot Required: The system must be rebooted for changes to take effect. Press <Esc> to bypass automatic reboot or
any other key to reboot.
Severity
Informational
Description
When the MIC element identity is changed, the system must be rebooted for the firmware to
recognize the new setting. In a few cases, it may be desirable to continue system startup as
though the MIC were not present rather than to automatically reboot the system.
Action
Press any key except <Esc> to reboot.
