IOPn.MtcMon Fault Handler Status Messages
IOPn.MtcMon Fault Handler status: An error occurred while sending synchronization information to the Fault Handler
on the other IOP.
Severity Error
Description A networking or system resource error occurred while the Fault Handler on the local IOP was
attempting to communicate with the Fault Handler on the remote IOP during the join process.
This may indicate a problem with the network cards or cabling. It may also indicate a resource
problem on one of the IOPs or a network card configuration error.
Related Messages None
Action • Examine the other messages in the event log that were logged at around the time of this
failure to determine if there is an indication of netcard or network malfunction.
• Check the network card configuration for the IOPlink cards on each IOP to make sure that
they are consistent with each other.
• Also check the IOPlink cabling to the other IOP to make sure that it is intact.
• If the error recurs and you cannot find an indication of a network cabling or netcard error,
contact your service provider for assistance.
