IOPn.MtcScsiP status: The SCSI Redirector and the SCSI Provider are incompatible.
Severity
Error
Description
The SCSI Redirector and the SCSI Provider have incompatible version numbers. This may be
the result of improper installation of the CE or IOP HP NetServer AA software. It may also be
the result of improper installation of HP NetServer AA software hotfixes.
Action
•
Power off the CEs.
•
Reboot each IOP into Offline HP NetServer AA I/O Processor Mode.
•
Use the HP NetServer AA Configuration Utility to reinstall HP NetServer AA software on
the CE and on each IOP.
•
Reapply HP NetServer AA software hotfixes.
•
Reboot each IOP into Operational HP NetServer AA I/O Processor Mode.
•
Power on the CEs.
IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Unable to claim DEVICEn for use by HP NetServer AA software, and it will be marked offline.
Variables
n – the device number; for example, DISK0, TAPE1, CDROM1.
Severity
Error
Description
HP NetServer AA software claims IOP-based devices for its own use so it can redirect those
devices to the CEs. Previous errors, such as finding the device or finding the correct device,
prevent HP NetServer AA software from claiming the device.
Action
Review the event log, looking for previous entries to determine why HP NetServer AA
software was unable to claim the device.
IOPn.MtcScsiP status: Unable to find a configured boot disk. Use the HP NetServer AA Configuration Utility to add a
boot disk or mark an existing disk as bootable.
Severity
Error
Description
The SCSI Provider has determined that the IOP's HP NetServer AA configuration area does
not indicate which disk is to be used to boot the CEs. This is an unlikely condition because the
HP NetServer AA Configuration Utility mandates the configuration of a CE boot disk.
Action
Use the HP NetServer AA Configuration Utility to add a boot disk or mark an existing disk as
bootable.
