About Router Types
About Router Types
Router types include:
•
Name
—Name is used to identify the external Router Source. The external source name
is used by the switcher to identify the Router Destination on the switcher input as a
routed GV Switcher source, and
Note: If the Router Source’s Name is changed, R-MEMs recalling that
router source must be relearned
(see the
Kayenne/Karrera/GV Korona
User Manual
)
.
•
Index
—External router sources include a numerical identifier in addition to Name.
When the
Index
button is selected, the GV Switcher system builds an index of external
router sources using the routed source’s number, rather than the name so R-MEMs are
not affected if router source names are changed. (Shows created with systems
configured before Switcher Version 9.0 can be updated to use router indexing (see the
Kayenne/Karrera/GV Korona User Manual
.)
About Destination Polling
The Destination Polling types include:
•
Force All
(the default)—Requests status of the entire router matrix (configured or not),
and
•
Selective
—Only requests status of the configured router sources.
