Basic Configuration
Switcher System Timing
260
For IP, the
Timing Window
displays the Frame Operating Mode, source type, and the timing
window (range) that the source must be within to receive the video. Sources outside the
timing window will most likely not pass through the switcher.
The Timing Analyzer displays the streaming format plus the horizontal and vertical position
relative to the system timing for both the A and B streams of the selected source. If the
Timing Analyzer reveals that the source is not within the range as displayed in the Timing
Window, adjustments can be made at the source or at the switcher by adjusting the
Switcher Horizontal and/or Vertical data pads at the far right of the menu.
The System Timing data pad shows the Switcher System Timing in microseconds for
Horizontal and lines for Vertical. Changing the SST moves the overall switcher timing
relative to its reference and the Auto-timing window relative to all sources.
When adjusting the Horizontal timing with the Switcher Horizontal knob or data pad and
the end of a line is reached, the Switcher Vertical parameter will be incremented or
decremented accordingly and the Switcher Horizontal parameter resets to zero.
The
Total
line under the Vert (Vertical) line in the System Timing pane to reflect the total
amount of delay in μsecs.
