5. (Optional) For
Channels
, type the Wi-Fi channels that will be scanned by this instance of the
service.
Allowed value is a comma-separated list of channel numbers, or

Hop frequency
, type the frequency, in milliseconds, that the Wi-Fi scanner will
hop from one channel to the next during scanning.
Allowed values are any number of seconds or milliseconds, and take the format

7. (Optional) For
Update interval
, type the number of seconds between scans.
Allowed values are any number of hours, minutes, or seconds, and take the format

8. (Optional) Click
Secondary antenna
to disable the use of the secondary Wi-Fi antenna.
9. For
Wi-Fi Radio
, select the appropriate Wi-Fi radio (dual Wi-Fi models only).
10. (Optional) Set parameters that allow you to filter what devices appear in the output log:

Minimum RSSI level to report
, type the minimum RSSI signal strength that a device
must have to be logged by the Wi-Fi scanner. This allows more distant devices to be
filtered out of the report.
The minimum allowed value is

, and the maxium is

c. (Optional) For
File of blocklisted OUIs or MAC addresses
, specify the path and filename
to a file that contains a list of Organizationally Unique Identifiers (OUIs) and/or MAC
addresses that should be excluded from the output log. The OUI is the first three bits of
the MAC address. The file should take the format of one MAC address or OUI per line.
For example, the following example file,
/etc/config/scripts/blocklist.txt
, will blocklist all
devices with the OUI of 00.00.00, and also blocklist the three listed MAC addresses:
