Local users
Local users are authenticated on the device without using an external authentication mechanism such
as or RADIUS. Local user authentication is enabled by default, with one preconfiged default
user.
Default user
At manufacturing time, each TX54 device comes with a default user configured as follows:
n
Username:
admin
.
n
Password: The default password is displayed on the label on the bottom of the device.
Note
The default password is a unique password for the device, and is the most critical
security feature for the device. If you reset the device to factory defaults, you must log in using
the default user and password, and you should immediately
to a custom
password. Before deploying or mounting the TX54 device, record the default password, so you
have the information available when you need it even if you cannot physically access the label
on the bottom of the device.
The default
admin
user is preconfigured with both Admin and Serial access. You can configure the
admin
user account to fit with the needs of your environment.
