Part 1 Annex Manager Basics
If you enter a valid Annex name and an incorrect
SNMP community string, the Annex appears in the list
as
NOT REACHABLE
.

The Annex name appears in the list box. All names appear in the
order in which you enter them.

Repeat Steps 1 through 3 for as many Annexes as you need.
If you use
public
as your community string, you can
skip steps 2 and 3 by entering an Annex name and
pressing

. The default community
string displays and the Annex name appears in the list.
If you need to add Annexes later, you can return to this area.
You can save any list using the
Save Annex List
command in the File menu.
This menu also provides the
Open Annex List
command, which recreates a
saved list. Instructions for saving and opening lists appear later in this
chapter.
Selecting Items in Lists
Selecting an Annex
Many Annex Manager commands require you to select Annexes from the
main window list. To select one or more Annexes:
1.
Create an Annex list.
For instructions, see Creating an Annex List earlier in this chapter.
2.
Click the mouse button on each Annex you want.
You can select as many Annexes as you need. (Some commands
allow you to select only one Annex.) To deselect an Annex, hold
and
click on any highlighted item. To display Annex
information, choose
or double click on any Annex
name in the list.
After you create a list, you can use Setup mode or Customize mode.
