Annex Manager User Guide
Chapter 23 Troubleshooting
23-4
Part 5 Reference Information
Returning to Previous Setup mode Window
Because Setup mode windows display based on your selections in
previous windows, you cannot display a second window and then return
to another window. For example, you must close the
General (continued
)
window in order to return to the
General
window. In addition, you must
close all Setup mode windows to return to the main window.
Saving All Configuration Parameters
To save all parameter values for an Annex, use the
Create Script
command.
In the
Create Script Options
box select
All Parameters
, click
Apply
, and enter
all ports on the Annex in the
Script Port Entry
window. This may take some
time for Annexes with a large number of asynchronous ports.
Saving Parameters in Scripts
Some Annex configuration parameters include sensitive information.
These parameters include all the Annex and port password parameters,
the option key that applies only for a specific Annex, and the Annex's IP
address.
“Parameter does not exist” Message?
Not all parameters apply to all Annex hardware configurations or all
software releases. Since Annex Manager must support all parameters for
all Annex hardware and software, you may see this message when you
compare the port configuration of one Annex to a port on a different
Annex, when you copy parameters from one Annex to another, or when
you use the
Show
or
Set
commands.
