Annex Manager User Guide
Chapter 22 Annex Parameters
22-86
Part 5 Reference Information
rupiahs
contains the password that controls authentication for RIP packets. Annex
Manager displays this parameter value as
set
if you enter the password here, or
as
unset
if you enter a null string.
Unset
indicates that authentication is turned
off and that all RIP packets are accepted.
rip_default_route
allows an Annex to advertise that it is the default router. You can enter a number
from 1 to 15 to indicate the hop count that is advertised. Entering
0
turns off the
advertisement.
rip_horizon
controls the split horizon algorithm for RIP. You can enter:
•
off
to disable split horizon.
•
split
to enable split horizon without poison. Split horizon
prevents a route from being advertised over the interface on
which it was learned.
•
poison
to enable split horizon with poison reverse. Poison
reverse advertises the route over the interface on which it was
learned, but sets the hop count to 16.
rip_next_hop
specifies whether the next hop value is included in RIP version 2 advertisements.
