Description of Commands
1080.9506.02
3.17
E-6
In the freerun mode (
:TRIG:SOUR INT
) measurements are performed continuously. In this operating
mode, the last measured result can be queried with the command
SENS<n>:DATA?
. In this case the
time when the response arrives and the time of the measurement are not correlated.
In the freerun mode the trigger commands *TRG, READ? and TRIG may be used as well. However, the
measurement running at the time of the trigger event is only terminated before the external trigger starts
a new measurement. Therefore no time offset must be tolerated.
3.5.3
Selection of Measurement Channel
Up to four sensors can be connected to the NRT and individually addressed. In remote-control mode,
switchover between the individual measurement channels is effected by the numeric suffix <n> (see
section 3.5.1). Most commands triggering sensor-specific settings or querying measured values contain
the numeric suffix in the first keyword, e.g. in
:SENS1:FREQ DEF
for switching off the frequency response correction in channel 1.
Commands without numeric suffix, such as
:TEST:SENSor?
and
:TEST:DIRect[?]
<sensor command>
(see Section 3.5.14, TEST Subsystem) as well as trigger commands (eg
*TRG
) always refer to the cur-
rent measurement channel, which is the channel addressed last by a setting command or query with
numeric suffix. To avoid frequent switchover, commands with the same numeric suffix should be sent
successively and not interleaved with other commands.
