1.2.3 Rackmounting

The Adapter ZZA-97 (Order No. 0827.4527.00) allows the NRT to be mounted in 19" racks. The NRT
may be accommodated in the left or right part of the rack and together with an other instrument of the
same size (9.5" width, 2 height units). Rackmounting is described in the installation instructions for the
rack adapter.

For rackmounting it is recommended to fit the option NRT-B2 (Order No. 1081.0702.02), which provides
two rear-panel connectors for sensors of type NRT-Z. Sensors of type NAP-Z are always connected to
the rear panel of the NRT.

An all-pole disconnect facility should be provided for rackmounting, since the
NRT has no isolating switch and can only be disconnected from the AC supply by
unplugging the power cord.

1.2.4  Connection to AC Supply

Allow instrument with condensation to dry up before switching it on!

Observe permissible ambient temperatures -10°C to +55°C!

Do not cover up air vents!

The NRT may be connected to a single-phase AC supply with a rated voltage from 100 to 240 V and
rated frequency from 50 to  60 Hz. For connection to 400-Hz networks it should be noted that for safety
reasons the maximum AC supply voltage is 120 V.

Note:

The NRT automatically sets itself to the local AC supply voltage. There is no need
for external switchover or exchanging the fuses.

Use the power cord supplied with the NRT for con-
nection to the AC supply. Since the NRT is designed
in line with protection class I requirements to
EN61010 it may only be connected to an earthing-
contact type connector. As soon as the connection
has been established, the switch-on routine appears
on the NRT display.

Since the NRT has no isolating switch, it can only be disconnected from the AC
supply by unplugging the power cord.

The AC outlet should therefore be easily accessible, the length of the power cord
should not exceed 2.5 m!
