Subsystem
The INPut subsystem contains all commands for defining the reference plane and the forward direction
for directional power sensors. All other settings referring to the measurement task are made in the
SENSe subsystem.
The INPUT subsystem is only available for direction sensors with directional coupler. The sensor is
selected by defining the numeric suffix <n>.

This command selects the reference plane. It defines the sensor port to which the measurement
results are to be referred to.

This command allows the transmission loss in a cable connecting the desired measurement point
and the sensor to be taken into account. If the measurement position is set to LOAD
(:INPut<n>:PORT:POSition LOAD) the cable is assumed to be connected between the sensor
and the load, otherwise between the sensor and the source.

This command has to be used for defining the forward direction if the automatic assignment has
been switched off with the command INPut:PORT:SOUR:AUTO OFF (see below).
The forward direction is defined by stating the source RF connector (1, 2 or DEFault). For sen-
sors with hardware-defined privileged direction, the default setting causes selection of exactly this
privileged direction as forward direction (eg NRT-Z44). Otherwise the DEFault setting is identical
with the selection of port 1 as the source RF connector. The numbers 1 and 2 are clearly shown
on the case or type label of each directional sensor.
