4.3 Functional Test

The NRT can be checked for proper functioning in line with Section 5.2, Test Procedure.

4.4 Troubleshooting

Most of the functional faults become apparent through obvious signs or are automatically detected by
the NRT itself.

Selftests are carried out automatically on power up of the NRT, replacement of the sensor and cyclically
during normal measurement mode. The "SENS WARN" message on the display indicates a fault during
the selftests. The precise meaning of the error message can be queried in the menu UTIL-TEST-
SENSOR (see Section 2.5.9).

Some faults may lead to out-of-tolerance values. In this case the performance tests (service manual)
should be carried out prior to an attempt to repair.

Note:

All errors indicated on the display can be recalled with the command

 :TEST:SENSor?

 via

the IEC/IEEE bus or serial RS-232 interface (see Section 3.5.14).

4.4.1 

Detection of Faulty Module

Faults may occur on switching on, when connecting a sensor or in the measurement mode. The causes
of faults are listed below according to their probability of occurrence in descending order. The probably
faulty module is stated in the righthand column.
