5.2.6 Option
NRT-B1
The option NRT-B1 is checked in conjunction with the NAP sensors (see Table 5-1, Ref. No. 6). The
power measurement range and the signal weighting are sensor-specific.
Before the measurements are started the sensor used should be warmed-up for at least 5 minutes.
The tolerances specified in the test report (Table 5-2) already contain all measurement uncertainties of
the test setup.
5.2.6.1 Sensor

Disconnect all sensors.

Connect the NAP sensor to option NRT-B1 (rear panel).
The messages ’FOUND SENSOR<s> 1.’ and ’INITIALIZING...’ must be displayed
one after another. Measured values should then be displayed.
In case of fault, the error message ’SENS WARN’ will be displayed.
5.2.6.2 Zeroing
Preparation:

Arrange test setup as shown in 5.1.1.

Set the measurement mode with the AVG / ENV function key to AVG, the meas-
urement unit with the dBm /
∆
/ W key to W.
½
Configure the display via the submenus CONFIG - RESOL => HIGH, CONFIG -
POWER => FWD, CORR - DIRECTION => AUTO and CORR - FREQ => DEF.
Test:

Carry out zeroing via the CORR - ZERO - EXEC menu parameter.
After correct zeroing, measured values must be displayed.
The message ’NO ZEROING <POWER IS ON>’ signals faulty zeroing.

If necessary switch off the test power and repeat zeroing.
½
Check zeroing with another sensor. With repeatedly faulty zeroing, there is a fault
in option NRT-B1.
