FREQ (Frequency Response Correction )
The accuracy specified for a sensor for power measurement is usually only adhered to if the carrier
frequency of the test signal is known to the instrument. Only in this way is it possible to correct the
measurement result with the aid of the correction factors stored in the sensor.
Frequency response correction is possible for sensors of both type NRT-Z and NAP-Z. The selected
frequency can be displayed alone or with a correction value for the cable loss (see sections 2.4.4 and
2.5.10) on the readout between the bargraphs, eg in the following form:
In the

menu individual frequency values can be entered or a default setting can be
activated.

User-defined frequency setting. Entry of the test frequency
is requested in a submenu. For NAP-sensors the appropri-
ate calibration data set must be selected first.

For NRT-sensors, the default frequency stored in the sensor
is used for correction and indicated on the display. The de-
fault frequency is sensor-specific and usually lies in the
middle of the frequency range in which the frequency has
little influence on the sensor characteristics.
For NAP-sensors, the frequency response correction is
deactivated by using a calibration factor of 100% for both
directions. No frequency is indicated.
