Checking the Rated Specifications

5.2.6.3 Power 

Measurement

Preparation:

½

Adjust signal generator (usually approx. 100 MHz; 30 MHz for NAP-Z7,-Z8; CW)
so that the measured power on the reference power meter is approx. 10 W (ap-
prox. 1 W for NAP-Z9).

Test:

Direction 1 –> 2

½

Determine the deviation in percent of the indicated forward power of the DUT
from the measured value of the reference power meter and enter the result into
the test report. Switch off the test power.

Direction 2 –> 1

½

Reverse the NAP sensor in the test setup shown under 5.1.1 (sensor port 2 to
signal generator).

½

Repeat the measurement as described for the other direction.

½

Determine the deviation in percent of the indicated forward power of the DUT
from the measured value of the reference power meter and enter the result into
the test report. Switch off the test power.

5.2.7 Option 

NRT-B2

½

Check option NRT-B2 (two additional sensor interfaces, Sensor 2 and Sensor 3,
on the NRT rear panel) accordingly in line with Section 5.2.4.

5.2.8 Option 

NRT-B3

The option is checked with a charged battery inserted.

5.2.8.1 

Switchover AC Supply/Battery Operation

Preparation:

½

Connect the NRT to the AC supply.

½

Switch on the NRT with the ON / STBY key and wait for completion of switch-on
process.

½

Select in the UTIL - BATTERY CHARGE menu the parameter ON.

Test:

The battery charging symbol (danger arrow + battery) should light on the display.

½

Disconnect the power cord (no AC supply).

The power disconnect should not be indicated on the NRT. The instrument
should remain switched on.

The charging symbol on the display (danger arrow) should disappear, the battery
symbol for indicating battery operation should be retained.

½

Connect the power cord (restore AC supply).

The battery charging symbol should light on the display.

½

Select the parameter OFF in the UTIL - BATTERY CHARGE menu.

The battery charging symbol should disappear.
