Loading new firmware into the NRT:

As a prerequisite the flashup software must have been installed on the PC as described above. Then
proceed as follows:

Switch off the NRT basic unit.

Connect PC and NRT using the null modem cable.

Switch on NRT with

key simultaneously pressed.

FLASHPRO UPDATE ACTIVE should then appear in the display of the NRT (see Fig. 4-2).

Switch the computer to DOS mode.

Select root directory c:

CD \ <Enter>

c: <Enter>

Select the directory c:\NRT where the flashup software was installed.

CD NRT <Enter>

If the cable is connected to interface COM1, start FLASHPRO with the command

FLASHPRO NRT40_1.CNF

The rest of the job is carried out by FLASHPRO without any further action being required.

If the cable is connected to interface COM2 , start FLASHPRO with the command:

FLASHPRO NRT40_2.CNF

The rest of the job is carried out by FLASHPRO without any further action being required.

Quit DOS mode (under Windows):

Exit <Enter>

Note:

−

Do not switch off the NRT basic unit or the PC during programming. Do not interrupt the cable con-

nection during this time either. Otherwise the instrument will not function properly or even crash.

−

Should nevertheless the power supply or cable connection be interrupted, restart the programming

procedure.
