Connection Notes
The I²C bus has been designed for data transfers on the printed circuit board. If external
devices are to be connected, the cable lengths should be kept as short as possible
(maximum 3 meters).
GND: General ground / Ground of PiXtend
SDA: I²C - data line (data)
SCL: I²C - clock line (clock)
+5V: Supply voltage 5.1 V (+/- 5 %)
The GND and 5 V connector, which is also located on the four-pin connector, must be
connected to external devices on the I²C bus.
Warning!
The I²C lines and the 5V supply port are unprotected and do not
withstand short circuits and overloads. Branches, spikes, and
lines that are too long on the I²C lines can cause malfunctions on
the entire I²C bus.
