PiXtend V2 -L- Hardware Manual
Warning!
Voltages greater than 250 V AC or 60 V DC must not be applied!
Spacings between interconnects and components are designed for a
maximum of 250 V AC.
Attention! High Voltage!
Work on 115 / 230 V mains voltage may only be carried out by trained
and legally qualified specialists!
Never work on energized parts. Do not disconnect or connect energized
cables. If you do not pay attention to this, it can result in injury or death
due to electric shock!
If the relays are to be operated with a mains voltage of 115 V (USA) / 230 V (Europe), an
insulating plastic housing or a metallic housing with protective earth must be provided. The
housing must prevent direct contact with energized components, cables and metal parts.
We offer matching housing parts for the assembly on a DIN rail.
The PiXtend stainless steel hood must be securely connected to the protective conductor
(PE - green / yellow cable) at the intended location ("PE" marking). Further information can
be found in section 3.2.2
Stainless Steel Hood
on page 18.
Alternatively, the PiXtend V2 -L- module can also be installed in another plastic housing or
grounded metal housing, which must be closed during operation of the module. Observe
the legal requirements regarding the electrical safety of the country in which the module is
used.
Risk of burns!
Depending on the supply voltage, load and ambient temperature, the
relay temperatures can be as high as 60 °C.
Direct touch should be avoided.
