Connection Notes
RS232 is a point-to-point connection between two devices and no bus system.
The TX line from PiXtend is wired to the RX line of the opposite. Similarly, RX and PiXtend
are connected to the TX line of the external device (crossing / X-ing).
For cables longer than three meters, cables with shielding should be used. Information and
tips on the connection or the application of shielding can be found in section 6.5.1.1

With standard settings for the UART interface under Raspbian Linux, the RS232 interface
serves as a console. With a terminal program, the Linux console can be directly accessed
from the PC. The following settings must be made in the PC program for the correct
transmission:
