PiXtend V2 -L- Hardware Manual

4.2. Housing Parts

In this section, you will learn how to mount the DIN rail housing and the stainless steel
hood. The housing parts are optional accessories for your PiXtend V2 -L- extension board
or ePLC Basic.
Especially when working

with dangerous voltages

(greater than 50 V), the

housing

parts must be used compulsorily

(stainless steel hood and DIN rail housing).

4.2.1.Tools

The following tools are required for assembling the DIN rail housing:

•

Phillips screwdriver, PH1

•

possibly a normal hammer or rubber hammer

When installing the stainless steel hood, we recommend the following tools:

•

Phillips screwdriver, PH1

•

Socket wrench or wrench, SW4

•

optional: torque wrench with Phillips Bit PH1 (adjustment 0.4 Nm)

A pliers can also be used as a replacement for the wrench. Avoid pliers with rough contact
surfaces as these can damage the surface of the spacers (only relevant for the optics).
