6.2. Information about the overall system

The PiXtend system was developed as an extension for the Raspberry Pi 3 B+ (also called
"RPi"). We recommend the operation with this model and have based all instructions,
software and data sheets on it. In addition to this Raspberry Pi models B+, 2 B and 3 B
can also be used (electrically and mechanically compatible).
