5.1. Set the jumpers and switch positions
The jumpers and switches determine the function and the configuration of PiXtend V2 -L-.
For initial commissioning and tests, all jumpers and switches are preset at the factory (see
page 10). It is not absolutely necessary to change this factory setting.

Switch “SPI_EN”:

The most important switch!
This must always be set to "ON" for normal
operation. In the "OFF" position, Raspberry Pi and PiXtend V2 -L- can not
communicate. The term "SPI_EN" is called "SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface)
Enable".

Switch “PI_5V”:
→ This switch is used to decide whether or not the 5 V supply of PiXtend V2 -L- and
Raspberry Pi should be connected. If you connect only one power supply to
PiXtend V2 -L- and the Raspberry Pi does not have its own power supply, the
switch is set to "ON". The recommended configuration is "ON", i.e. the setting for
the common power supply via the voltage regulator on PiXtend V2 -L-.
