PiXtend V2 -L- Hardware Manual

4.1. Raspberry Pi

If you purchased a PiXtend V2 -L- Extension Board - without Raspberry Pi -, follow the
steps in this section. If you have a PiXtend V2 -L- ePLC device, you can go directly to the
startup chapter from page 42 onwards.

4.1.1.Tools

The following tools are required for the assembly of the Raspberry Pi:

•

Phillips screwdriver, PH1

•

optional: torque wrench with Phillips bit, PH1 (adjustment 0.4 Nm)

4.1.2.Assembly

The combination of Raspberry Pi and PiXtend V2 -L- is quickly done.
A pre-assembled 40-pin flat-ribbon cable is included with your device.

The side of the

ribbon cable with the strain relief (see Fig. 6) is plugged into PiXtend.

Be sure to insert the plug connector straight so that it can not become jammed and the
plug-in is possible with little force.
