PiXtend V2 -L- Hardware Manual
The following points must be observed for the reliable connection of the protective earth
conductor to the hood and for safe use of PiXtend V2 -L-:
–
Apart from the terminal blocks of the four relays, no dangerous voltage
(greater than 50 V) must be applied at any point
–
Choose the PE line cross-section according to the cross-sections of the mains
conductor connected to the relay (at least one line with 1.5 mm²)
–
Use rigid or flexible wire for the connection of PE with the usual
green & yellow color coding
–
Use flat plug-in sleeves with "snap-in nose", which snaps into the hood and protects
against unintentional loosening / pulling off
–
Check the flat plug for a tight fit
–
The outer conductors are to be protected all-pole via line fuses (depending on the
cross-section used) and with a residual current circuit breaker.
–
No mains voltage or other hazardous voltage (greater than 50 V) must be
connected to the PiXtend relays without a residual current circuit breaker.
–
The protective earth conductor connection must meet the legal requirements
of the respective country in which PiXtend is to be used. If you are unsure,
contact a local and approved electrical installation company or contact your
local authorities.
