Alarm Type:

Alarm & Sonalert

Reason:

This alarm is only valid on systems that have the spin

stepper option. When the stepper moves the spindle to the 90
degree position, the

90 degree position

sensor is checked to make

sure the move was made correctly. If the sensor does not detect
the spindle, a retry is performed to attempt the operation again. If
the sensor still does not detect the spindle, the alarm is posted.
This alarm indicates a failure to move to the 90 degree position.

Disposition:

The alarm is posted but processing continues.

Reason:

When the spin process is complete, the spindle is sent to

the TOP position and the Unload Handler is instructed to remove
the wafer. If after a three minute delay the Unload Handler has
not removed the wafer, a test is made to determine the cause. If
the status is “Remove Cassette” (i.e., completed cassette), then
Alarm 91 is posted. If the status is “Waiting On New
Cassette”(i.e., no cassette), then Alarm 90 is posted. If the wafer is
not taken and the Unload Handler is not waiting on a cassette
operation, then Alarm 46 is posted.
