2.5 Resuming the Program

(18) Program restart search is not possible for the head of program.

Setting for restart search is possible, but correct position return may not be realized after a
program head search.

(19) In tape operation or IC card operation, the head of program must be searched in advance on

either the operation search screen or IC card screen. If restart search (type 1/2/3) is executed
without search operation, the setting operation error (Exx) occurs.

Restart type 1: E64, restart type 2: E80, restart type 3 (T command restart): E81

(20) Sequence No. or block No. cannot be specified when unmodal search is carried out in the IC card

operation.

If specified, the setting operation error (E13) occurs.

Also, if unmodal search is carried out with type B, the setting operation error (E14) occurs.

(21) In the tape operation/IC card operation, if reset is performed after restart search type1 is

executed, and then restart search is executed again, the setting operation error (E81) and the
program error (P460) are displayed and restart search cannot be performed. After reset, always
carry out search to index the head of program, and then carry out restart search.

(22) Restart search for the subprogram that calls M98 command and M198 command can be

searched with type B.

(23) IC card operation is available with the machining center system (M system). Note that the IC card

operation or restart search cannot be carried out with the lathe system (L system).
