(Note 1)

ACHINE1/123456789/123456789/123456789/123456789/123456789/1234
(Note2)
It is recommended that alphanumerical characters be used for directory names. Two-byte
characters can be displayed with NC but cannot be input. Directory cannot be directly input
and selected.
(Note3)
The combination of up to 8 alphanumerical characters of identifier and up to 3 alphanumerical
characters of extension is recommended for a file name.
If the file name exceeds 8 alphanumerical characters, only the first 6 characters will be
displayed and the rest will be displayed as "
¯
" (tilde) on the screen.
If the first 6 characters of file names are the same, those file names are expressed as follows.
(Example)
(a) 123456789.PRG
↓
123456¯1.PRG
(b) 123456789ABCDEFG.PRG
↓
123456¯2.PRG
If such files are input (from IC to NC) in order of (a) and (b), file (a) will be overwritten by file (b).
Thus, file name always has to be "8 alphanumerical characters.extension". Note that the
operation error (E51) occurs if a file (excluding parameter file) containing other than one-byte
numerical characters in name is transferred.
(Note4)
When "MEMORY" is selected for the device name, up to 18 alphanumerical characters are
displayed in <Remarks> as the machining program comment.
