8. IC Card Operation
8.1 IC Data Screen

When an operation error (E314) occurs, the file can be overwritten.

When an operation error (E314) occurs, the
cursor will move to the second setting area.

1) Input "Y" in the second setting area, and
then press the
INPUT
key.
WRITE :NO SCR.CHG
Transfer and overwriting of the file will start,
and the message "WRITE :NO SCR.CHG"
will appear.
When the transfer is completed, the message
"WRITE COMPLETE" will appear, and then
"DATA IN COMPLETE" or "DATA OUT
COMPLETE" will appear.
(Precautions)
(a) When transferring multiple files with the "
∗
" designation, an operation error (E314) will occur each
time a duplicate file is found. Note that if "A" is input instead of "Y" when the operation error (E314)
occurs, an operation error will not occur even if subsequent files are duplicated, and instead the files
will be overwritten.
(b) If a character other than "Y" or "A" is input when an operation error (E314) occurs, the file transfer
will stop at that point.
(c) When #1218 BIT7 is set to "0", the above operation only results in the operation error (E65).
(d) When the same device is selected for device A and device B, the operation error (E01) occurs.
(e) If the parameter #1232 set04 BIT1 is set, "% + CRLF(linefeed code)" is added when outputting the
machining program.
(f) The directory to be created in the IC card (created on PC) must be within 18th level of hierarchy.
Directories in the deeper level of hierarchy than 18th level cannot be selected on the screen.
If a directory located deeper than the 18th level of hierarchy in the file list is moved, the operation
error (E319)will occur.
(g) The number of files that can be created in the IC card root directory (the directory just below the IC
card directory) depends on the size of IC card. If that number exceeds, an error occurs and files will
not be transferred.
(h) After the operations described above are executed, file transfer may not be carried out successfully
with the IC card (or on PC), resulting in the operation error (E51). In this case, format the IC card with
FAT16 before using.
