7.7.3.1 no users passwd
This command sets the password of an existing user to blank. When you change a password, a prompt asks for the
old password. If there is no password, press enter.
7.7.4 set board root-password
This command changes the current LINUX root password. It permanently save the new password in flash (file “/mnt/
os/current-settings”). The user will be asked by a prompt to specify the password and to reconfirm it a second time.
A empty password can be specified by simply type <CR>. Then any password may be specified for the login. The
factory password can be reconfigured (parameter ‘factory’)..
7.7.5 users passwd <username> encrypted <password>
This command allows the administrator to transfer local user passwords between devices without having to know
the passwords. The
<password>
parameter must be exactly 128 hexidecimal characters. The user represented by
the
<username>
parameter must be a pre-existing local user.
7.7.6 users snmpv3 accessmode
This command specifies the snmpv3 access privileges for the specified login user. The valid accessmode values
are
readonly
or
readwrite
. The
<username>
is the login user name for which the specified access mode
applies. The default is
readwrite
for the “admin” user and
readonly
for all other users. You must enter the
<username>
in the same case you used when you added the user. To see the case of the
<username>
, enter the
show users
command.
Note: To specify a blank password in the configuration script, you must specify it as a space within
quotes, for example, “ ”. For more information about creating configuration scripts, see 7.11
“Configuration Scripting Commands” on page 7 - 38.
