MAINTENANCE
OIL CHANGE
NOTE:
C h a n g e th e oil w ith e n g ne w a r m a n d th e m o to rc y ­
cle on its s id e s ta n d to assure c o m p le te a n d rapid
d ra in in g .
S ta rt th e e n g in e , w a r m it up a n d s to p it.
R e m o v e th e oil fille r cap/dipstick (p a g e 4 -1 1 ).
R e m o v e th e oil d ra in bolt, s ealin g w a s h e r a n d d ra in
th e oil.
Install th e oil d ra in bolt w ith a n e w s e a lin g w a s h e r
an d tig h te n it to th e specified to rq u e .
TORQUE: 25 N-m (2.5 kgf-m, 18 Ibf-ft)
Fill th e cran kcase w ith th e re c o m m e n d e d e n g in e oil
(p a g e 4 -1 1 ).
OIL CAPACITY:
2.9 liters (3.06 US qt, 2.55 Imp qt) at draining
3.3 liters (3.49 US qt, 2.90 Imp qt) at filter change
4.0 liters (4.23 US qt, 3.52 Imp qt) at disassembly
C heck th e e n g in e oil level (p a g e 4 -1 1 ).
Install th e oil fille r cap/dipstick (p a g e 4 -1 1 ).
M a k e su re th e re are no oil leaks.
