TCM

HFT

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

• When the TCM replaced, perform the HFT initial

ization procedure (page 11-93).

Remove the right seat cowl (page 3-12).

Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) and 5P (Black) con
nectors.
Remove the band and TCM.

Installation is in the reverse order of removal.

POWER INPUT/GROUND LINE
INSPECTION

1. Power Input Line Inspection 1

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector (page
11-17).

Turn the gnition switch ON and engine stop

switch "O".

Measure the voltage between the TCM 33P

(Black) connector and ground.

Connection: A13 (+) - Ground (-)

Is th e re b a tte ry v o lta g e ?

YES

- GO TO STEP 2.

- GO TO STEP 3.

2. Ground Line Open Circuit Inspection

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect the TCM 5P (Rlack) connector

Check for continuity between the TCM 5P (B ack)
connector at the w ire side and ground.

Connection: Green/black - Ground

Is th e re c o n tin u ity ?

YES

- Replace the TCM w ith a new one, and

recheck (HFT initialization procedure:

page 11-93).

- Open circuit in Green/black wire
