IGNITION SYSTEM

Connect a tachom eter.

Read the

Connect the tim in g light to the rear spark plug w ire.

IDLE SPEED: 1,200 ± 100 m in 1 (rpm)

The tim in g is correct if the "F" m ark on the flyw heel

aligns w ith the index notch on the left crankcase

cover.

If the ignition tim ing is incorrect, inspect the ECM

and CKP sensor.

Stop the engine and connect the tim in g light to the

front cylinder spark plug w ire.
Check the ignition tim ing at the front cylinder.

Coat a new O-ring w ith engine oil and install it into

the tim in g hole cap groove.
A pply grease to the tim in g hole cap threads.

Install the tim ing hole cap and tighten it.

TORQUE: 10 N-m (1.0 kgf-m, 7 Ibf-ft)

SIDESTAND SWITCH

INSPECTION

Rem ove the following:

- M ain seat (page 3-4)
- Left side cover (page 3-15)

Disconnect the sidestand switch 2P (Green) connec

tor.
