R e m o v e th e a ir c le a n e r h o u sing (p a g e 6-50).
Loosen th e lock nut, tu rn th e a d ju s te r as re q u ire d .
T ig h te n th e lock n u t w h ile h o ld in g th e ad ju ster.
Recheck th e th ro ttle o p e ra tio n .
R eplace a n y d a m a g e d parts, if necessary.
Install th e a ir c le a n e r h o u sing (p a g e 6-52).
AIR CLEANER

R e m o v e th e screw s, a ir c le a n e r cover a n d a ir
c le a n e r e le m e n t.
R eplace th e a ir c le a n e r e le m e n t in acco rd ance w ith
th e m a in te n a n c e s c h e d u le o r a n y tim e it is e x c e s ­
s iv e ly d irty o r d a m a g e d .
Install th e re m o v e d p a rts in th e reverse o rd e r of
re m o v a l.

o v e rtu rn e d . S e rv ic e if th e d e p o s it level can be
seen in th e tra n s p a re n t section o f th e d ra in plug.
R e m o v e th e clip an d crankcase b re a th e r d ra in plug
fro m the a ir c le a n e r h o u sin g .
D ra in deposits in to a s u ita b le c o n ta in e r, a n d install
th e crankcase b re a th e r d ra in p lu g an d tig h te n th e
clip.
