SERVICE INFORMATION
GENERAL
• This section covers service o f the rocker arm , cam shaft, c y lin d e r head and valve.
• The cylinder head services can be done w ith the engine installed in the fram e.
• Be careful not to dam age the m ating surfaces w hen rem oving the cylin d e r head cover and cylinder head. Do not strike
the cylinder head cover and cylinder head to o hard d u rin g rem oval.
• When disassembling, mark and store the disassem bled parts to ensure th a t they are reinstalled in th e ir o rig in a l loca­
tions.
• Clean all disassembled parts w ith cleaning solvent and d ry them by b lo w in g them o ff w ith com pressed air before
inspection.
• Camshaft and rocker arm lubricating o il is fed th ro u g h oil passages in the c y lin d e r head and cam shaft holder. Clean the
oil passages before assem bling the cylin d e r head and cover.
