GENERAL
NOTICE
Note the follow ing when replacing the halogen headlight bulb.
-
Wear clean gloves while replacing the bulb. Do not p u t finger prints on the headlight bulb
,
as they may create hot spots
on the bulb and cause it to fail.
- If you touch the bulb w ith your bare hands, clean it w ith a cloth moistened with alcohol to prevent its early failure.
• Use an e lectric heating elem ent to heat the w a te r/co o la n t m ixtu re fo r th e ECT sensor inspection. Keep flam m able m ate­
rials away fro m the electric heating elem ent. W ear p ro te ctive clo th in g , insulated gloves and eye protection.
• Check the b a tte ry co n d itio n before p e rfo rm in g any inspection th a t requires proper b a tte ry voltage.
• A c o n tin u ity te s t can be m ade w ith the sw itches in stalled on th e m otorcycle.
• The fo llo w in g c o lo r codes used are indicated th ro u g h o u t th is section.
