LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES
Remove the upper cow l (page 3-7) and check fo r
lo o s e o r o o o r c o n ta c t te r m in a ls a t th e c o m b in a tio n
m eter 20P (Gray) connector.
Connect the co m b in a tio n m eter 20P (Gray) connec­
tor.
Connect the peak voltage adapto r to the com b in a ­
tio n m eter te rm in a l and ground.
TOOL:
Imrie diagnostic tester (model 625) or
Peak voltage adaptor 07HGJ-0020100
w ith commercially available digital multimeter
(impedance 10 M Q /D C V minimum)
CONNECTION: Yellow/green (+) - Ground (-)
S ta rt the engine and m easure the tachom eter in p u t
peak voltage.
PEAK VOLTAGE: 10.5 V minimum
If the peak vo lta g e is norm al, replace the co m b in a ­
tio n m eter p rin t board assem bly (page 22-11).
If the m easured value is belo w 10.5 V, replace the
ECM (page 6-68).
If the v a lje is 0 V, disconnect the ECM 33P connec­
tors.
Check fo r c o n tin u ity betw een the co m bination
m eter 20P (Gray) connecto r and ECM 33P (Gray)
connector.
CONNECTION: B17 - Yellow/green
TOOL:
Test probe
07ZAJ-RDJA110
If there is no c o n tin u ity , check the w ire harness and
co m b in a tio n m eter sub-harness fo r an open circuit.
If there is co n tin u ity , replace the ECM (page 6-68).
