FUEL SYSTEM (PGM-FI)
3. TP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection
T urn the ig n itio n switch ON and engine stop
sw itch " Q
M easure the voltage at the w ire harness side.
Connection: Yellow/red (+) - Green/orange (-)
Is the vo lta g e w ith in 4.75
-
5.25 V?
YES - Replace the ECM w ith a know n good
one, and recheck
NO - Open c ircu it in G reen/orange o r w ires

1. IAT Sensor System Inspection
Turn the ig n itio n switch ON and engine stop
sw itch H O "•
Check the IAT sensor w ith the HDS pocket tester.
Is a b o u t 0 V in d ic a te d ?
YES - GO TO STEP 2.
NO - • In te rm itte n t failure
• Loose o r poor contact on the IAT
sensor connector

Sensor Inspection
Remove the center cowl (page 3-6).
Turn the ig n itio n switch OFF.
Disconnect the IAT sensor 2P (Gray) connector.
Turn the ig n itio n switch ON and engine stop
sw itch " Q ".
Check the IAT sensor w ith the HDS pocket tester.
Is a b o u t 0 V in d ic a te d ?
YES - GO TO STEP 3
NO - Faulty IAT sensor
3. IAT Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspection
Check fo r co n tin u ity between the IAT sensor 2P
(Gray) connector term inal o f the w ire harness
side and ground.
Connection: Gray/blue - ground
Is there c o n tin u ity 7
YES - S hort c ircu it in G ray/blue w ire
NO - Replace the ECM w ith a know n good
one, and recheck
