IGNITION SYSTEM
Connect the peak voltage tester or adaptor probes
to the w ire harness side ECM connector term inals.
TOOLS:

Peak voltage adaptor 07HGJ-0020100

Test probe 07ZAJ-RDJA110
C ONNECTIO N: B22 (+) - A32 (-)
Check the neutral position of neutral/drive clutch.
Turn the ignition switch ON w ith the engine stop
switch at "O”.
Crank the engine w ith the starter m otor and m ea­
sure the CKP sensor peak voltage.
PEAK VOLTAGE: 0.7 V m in im um
If the voltage m easured at the ECM connector is
abnorm al, measure the peak voltage at the CKP sen­
sor connector.
Disconnect the CKP sensor 2P (Red) connector and
connect the peak voltage tester or adaptor probes to
th e connector term inals o f the CKP sensor side.
C ONNECTIO N: Yellow (+) - W h ite /y e llo w (-)
In the sam e m anner as at the ECM connector, m ea­
sure the peak voltage and com pare it to the voltage
m easured at the ECM connector.
• If the peck voltage m easured at the ECM is
abnorm al and the one m easured at the CKP sen­
sor is norm al, check the 2P (Red) connector for
loose connection and the w ire harness for an
open or short circuit, or loose connection.
• If the peak voltage is low er than standard value,
fo llo w th e checks in the troubleshooting table
(page 20-4).
