CYLINDER/PISTON
Place a clean shop
to w e l over the
crankcase to
p re v e n t the clip
from falling into the
crankcase.
The rea r cylinder
uses the same
service procedure
as the fro n t
cyf'nder.
A p p ly e n g in e oil to th e piston p in o u te r surface.
Install the piston with the "in" mark facing intake
side.
Install th e piston p in th ro u g h th e piston an d co n ­
n ectin g rod.
Install new piston pin clips into the grooves in the
piston pin hole.
NOTE:
• M a k e su re th e p isto n pin clip is s eated secu rely.
• Do not a lig n th e clip end g a p w ith th e piston c u t­
out.
CYLINDER INSTALLATION
Install n e w O -rin g s to th e jo in t co llar.
Install th e jo in t c o lla r to th e c y lin d e r.
C lean th e g asket surfaces of th e c y lin d e r a n d c ra n k ­
case th o ro u g h ly , b ein g careful not to d a m a g e th e m .
NOTE:
W h e n cle a n in g th e c y lin d e r m a ttin g surface, p lace a
sh op to w e l o v e r th e c y lin d e r o p e n in g to p re v e n t
d u s t o r d irt fro m e n te rin g th e e n g in e .
Install th e d o w e l p ins an d c n e w gasket.
