HEADLIGHT RELAY

INSPECTION

Remove th e seat (page 3-4).

Open the fuse/relay box and rem ove the headlight

relay.

C onnect an oh m m e te r to the head lig h t relay con

nector te rm in a ls as show n.

C onnect a 12 V battery to the head lig h t relay con

nector te rm in a ls as show n.

There should be c o n tin u ity o n ly w hen the 12 V bat

te ry is connected.

If there is no c o n tin u ity w hen th e 12 V battery is

connected, replace the h e a d lig h t relay.

Installation is in the reverse o rd e r o f rem oval.

INSPECTION

Remove the left seat cow l (page 3-12).

Remove th e m ain relay.

C onnect an ohm m e te r to the m ain relay connector

te rm in a ls as shown.

Connect a 12 V battery to the m ain relay connector

te rm in a ls as shown.

There should be c o n tin u ity o n ly w h e n the 12 V bat
te ry is connected.

If there is no c o n tin u ity w hen the 12 V battery is

connected, replace the m ain relay.

Installation is in the reverse o rder o f rem oval.
