LIGHTS/METERS/SWITCHES

Remove the upper fuel level sensor (page 22-17).

Remove the fuel pum p (page 6-41).

Connect the upper fuel level sensor 2P (Blue) con

nector.

Connect the fuel pum p 3P (Black) connector.

Turn the ignition switch ON.

M ove the flo a t fro m the em pty to check fu ll position,

then check the fuel m eter indication.

NOTE:

Keep the flo a t at each position fo r several tenths o f

a second.

If the fuel m eter does not indicate properly, check

fo r open o r s h o rt c ircuit in w ire harness.

If the w ire harness is good, replace the fuel meter

w ith a new one (page 22-10).

Remove the center cow l (page 3-6).

Disconnect the ig n itio n sw itch 2P (Brown) connec

tor.

Check fo r c o n tin u ity between the switch side con
nector term inals in each sw itch position.

C ontinuity should exist between the color coded

w ires as shown in the chart.
