HFT

DTC 9-1 (EOP SENSOR LOW

VOLTAGE)

• This problem code w ill be indicated when EOP

sensor, its circuit and HFT oil pressure low.

1. HFT Oil Pressure Inspection

Inspect the HFT oil pressure (page 11-12).

Is the o il pressure norm al?

YES

- GO TO STEP 2.

- Inspect the lubrication system (page 5-

4).

2. EOP Sensor System Inspection

Turn  the  ignition  switch  ON  and  engine  stop
switch  " O " .
Check the  EOP sensor with the  HDS.

Is a b o u t 0 V indicated?

YES

- GO TO STEP 3.

- Interm ittent failure.

3. EOP Sensor Input Voltage Inspection

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect the EOP sensor 3P connector.

Turn the ignition switch ON and engine stop

switch  " O " .
Measure  the  voltage  between  the  wire  harness
side connector terminal  and ground.

Connection: Black/blue (+) - Ground (-)

Is the vo lta g e w ith in 4.75 - 5.25 V?

YES

- GO TO STEP 4.

- GO TO STEP 5.

4. EOP Sensor Output Line Short Circuit Inspection

Turn the ignition switch OFF.

Disconnect the TCM 33P (Black) connector.

Check for continuity between the EOP sensor 3P

connector terminal of the w ire harness side and
ground.

Connection: Yellow/black - Ground

Is there c o n tin u ity ?

YES

- Short circuit in Yellow/black wire.

- Faulty EOP sensor.
