The instrument contains a lithium battery for memory backup. When disposing of
this instrument, remove the lithium battery and dispose of battery and instrument
in accordance with local regulations.

13.3 Disposing of the instrument

Removing the Lithium Battery

To avoid electric shock, turn off the power switch and disconnect the
power cord and measurement cables before removing the lithium battery.

Verify that the power is off, and remove the cables and power cord.

Turn the instrument over and remove the six screws affixing the lower case.

Lift the lithium-ion battery up off the printed circuit board and cut the
leads from the positive and negative poles with the pair of nippers.

Required tools: One Phillips screwdriver (No.1), one pair of nippers
