Filer Administration Basics 2-13

Table 2-6 shows how to access the default directories. Replace

filer

with the host

name of your filer.

The root directory contains an

etc

directory in which the filer configuration files are

stored. You can modify the configuration files from the administration host.

Table 2-7 describes the files in the

etc

directory. Note that some of the configuration

files might not exist on your filer if you use the filer for CIFS or NFS only.
